Smith Field is celebrating its 100-year anniversary, and we are doing it BIG! Join us on Friday, September 12 from 5pm-9pm for a FREE community event hosted by the Fort Wayne-Allec County Airport Authority! This special event honors Fort Wayne's rich aviation history while welcoming the community out to celebrate. Come out for an evening filled with family-friendly activities - food trucks, LIVE music, aircraft displays, vendors, a FREE children's activity area, and hot air balloons!

SMD Parking

Parking at SMD 100

General parking for attendees at SMD 100 will be at First Assembly of God church located off of Washington Center Road for $5 per vehicle. Event parking will be accessible off of Washington Center Road or Ludwig Road via Sharon Drive. ADA parking will be available at Smith Field Airport for attendees needing a closer parking option. FREE parking shuttles will run to and from Smith Field Airport throughout the event.

The Airport Authority is partnering with the National Airmail Museum, with their team of volunteers assisting with event parking. The proceeds from SMD 100 event parking will go towards the Airmail Museum's fundraising efforts, as they work to revitalize historic Hangar 2 at Smith Field Airport as the as the new home of the National Airmail Museum, and to create an exciting venue that brings these amazing stories to life through interactive exhibits, artifacts and hands-on experiences. Visitors will be transported back to a time when Fort Wayne played an essential role in the development of the Airmail Service and supported the efforts of WWII.
