Support Local! Fort Wayne International Airport to Celebrate Customer Appreciation Week October 15-19

Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority (FWACAA) will say “Thank you!” to passengers during the week of October 15-19, 2018 with Customer Appreciation Week. The theme of this year’s Customer Appreciation Week is “Support Local! Fly Local. Buy Local.”

Activities taking place in the terminal throughout the week include free coffee each morning, chocolate samples from DeBrand Fine Chocolates, daily visits from our Hospitality PAWS teams, local beer and wine samples, tacos on Tuesday, live music from Island Vibe, popcorn and snacks daily, cupcakes from Sweet Tooth Cakes, a pop-up market featuring local shops, and wood painting from Wood and Limn. FWA will also welcome local “celebrities” Icy D. Eagle, from the Fort Wayne Komets, and Johnny, from the Fort Wayne TinCaps, as guest Hospitality Hosts. As guest hosts,  they will work alongside FWA volunteers passing out the airport’s famous cookies and welcoming arriving passengers.

Beer and Wine samples will come from local wineries, Two EEs Winery and Country Heritage Winery, and local brewery, Mad Anthony Brewing Company. Coffee and food is being provided by First Class Concessions, who operates within the terminal. All activities and treats offered in the terminal throughout Customer Appreciation Week are free to all ticketed passengers.

As an exciting first-time addition to Customer Appreciation Week, Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) will be hosting the first ever FWA Pop-Up Market. This market will feature local vendors as a way to bring more locally made, created, and curated goods to our passengers. Featured vendors are: Narwahl and the Manatee, Four Gals Boutique, Lee Morgan Designs, The Spare and the Hare, Beechy Creek Home Décor, Two60 Boutique, GilleyFlower Baby, Arbonne, GK Baked Goods, Down Home Decor, Tupperware and many more. This will give passengers the opportunity to shop local, while they are enjoying the benefits of flying local from FWA. The Pop-Up Market will be located on the second floor of the terminal building on the secured side.
