New payment system offers parking lot users easier entry, exit at FWA
Fort Wayne, Ind. – In April 2014 parking at Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) gets easier. Republic Parking and the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority are pleased to announce the upcoming installation of QP QuickPay secure mobile app payment service that will provide FWA customers an easy, convenient option to pay parking fees.
The new payment service allows parking patrons to park and pay in any of the FWA parking lots using only their mobile device. Users of QP Quickpay will no longer need to provide a ticket to the parking booth attendant to pay for their parking at FWA.
Before you come to the airport, download the free QP QuickPay smartphone app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once the app is installed, follow the simple directions to create an account using your credit or debit card.
How easy is it to use? Just open the app upon arrival at any airport parking lot, scan a QR Code at lot entry to raise the gate, and then enter the lot. When departing, scan the QR Code at the exit to raise the gate, and your credit card will automatically be charged the parking fee based on your entrance and exit dates and times. An e-receipt will be e-mailed after the transaction is completed.
“We are excited to offer the new QuickPay mobile payment service to our parking customers,” stated Scott Hinderman, Executive Director of Airports. “With our partner, Republic Parking, we continually strive to make the parking experience easier at FWA, and the QP QuickPay mobile app allows us to do so.”
“We are excited to work with innovative partners Republic Parking and FWA to bring mobile innovation to the airport’s customers”, said Barney Pell, CEO of QuickPay.
