Fort Wayne International Airport has Exciting Activities Planned for Spring Break Travelers

Fort Wayne, Ind. – As local families prepare for their Spring Break vacations, Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) is preparing to welcome the increase in passenger traffic through the terminal building with a number of activities and events over the next two weeks beginning Monday, March 25th.

Among the things that passengers will be able to enjoy throughout the two-week Spring Break period are freshly popped popcorn, snacks and water, and visits from FWA Hospitality PAWS teams. FWA Customer Service Agents (CSAs) will assist passengers while wearing Hawaiian shirts to emphasize the Spring Break atmosphere. There will also be a photobooth with an opportunity for passengers to take photos and share them with FWA via social media.

First Class Concessions, operator of Samuel Adams Brewhouse and the Fort Wayne Marketplace in the terminal building, will offer a variety of food and drinks for passengers to sample while they wait for their flights. Among the item’s passengers can taste and snack on will be chips and salsa, breakfast chorizo hash, snack club mix, and even Bloody Mary’s and an orange spritz drink for those 21 and older. First Class Concessions will also be supporting local businesses with chocolate samples from Debrand Fine Chocolates and Kombucha from Crossroads Kombucha.

Kids will also be able to enjoy the Spring Break festivities, with appearances from Rapunzel, a friendly pirate, and airport public safety officers. These special guests will be in the terminal to visit with children and pass out activity bags with special FWA goodies inside.

“We look forward to the Spring Break travel season and are happy to offer something extra for our passengers to enjoy,” said Scott Hinderman, Executive Director of Airports. “These activities are another way for airport staff to thank our passengers for flying FWA, while celebrating the increase in traffic that comes through the airport.”

FWA Spring Break activities will take place from Monday, March 25, 2019 to Saturday, April 6, 2019. Times for activities vary each day.
