Fort Wayne International Airport Begins Non-Stop Service to Philadelphia on American Airlines

Fort Wayne, Ind. – After a nearly two-year hiatus, non-stop flights are once again taking off between Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) on American Airlines.

The inaugural flight going outbound from FWA to PHL will take depart on Thursday, June 7th from Fort Wayne at 3:29 p.m., and arrive in Philadelphia at 5:19 p.m. Media is invited to the FWA terminal for the inaugural flight festivities beginning at 2:00 p.m. with a press conference from airport officials.

“We are excited to welcome back non-stop service to Philadelphia from Fort Wayne,” said Scott Hinderman, Executive Director of Airports, “Having this non-stop service available to our community makes for even more connectivity for both business and leisure travelers with excellent connections for both domestic and international travel. American Airlines continues to be a great partner for FWA, and we look forward to watching this route succeed.”

American Airlines will operate this non-stop service twice daily on a regional ERJ-145 50-seat aircraft, with both early morning and mid-afternoon/early evening flight options.

With the addition of this non-stop daily service to PHL, FWA now offers non-stop service to 12 destinations on four airlines, with seven routes being to larger connecting hubs. American Airlines also has non-stop service from FWA to three other hub airports; Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
